Dear Lehigh Students, Faculty, and Staff,
I want to take a moment to express my excitement about this new beginning and the shared work ahead as I step into the inaugural role as Vice Provost for Arts & Libraries.
To begin, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the expertise and dedication of the teams within our Libraries, the Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG), and the Zoellner Arts Center. Their hard work is the bedrock upon which we are building this new initiative. Each of these areas' commitment to excellence remains unchanged.
My conversations with these teams have thus far focused on strengthening existing resources and exploring new opportunities to coordinate and collaborate. Together, we are positioning the arts and libraries as the cultural and intellectual heart of Lehigh—dynamic hubs where creative expression meets rigorous research. By aligning these three anchors and strengthening our partnerships with academic departments, student organizations, and dedicated alumni, we will more effectively co-create interdisciplinary opportunities, elevate the role of the arts and libraries in the Lehigh student experience, and strengthen our collections and facilities to advance teaching and research.
Building the future of the arts and libraries at Lehigh is a journey we will make together. If you see an opportunity for a new partnership, research direction, or classroom connection, I hope you will reach out to me; I am happy to host you in my office or join you where you are working.
Warmly,
Greg Reihman, Ph.D.
Vice Provost for Arts and Libraries
