BookMARK: Celebrate, Remember, Honor
A gift to purchase books for the Lehigh University Libraries provides a uniquely meaningful way to:

  • memorialize a friend, relative or colleague

  • honor a new graduate

  • celebrate an event or occasion

Special occasions like birthdays, holidays, or promotions can all be celebrated with a donation for books. Gifts for books to be purchased by the Lehigh Libraries are a particularly appropriate way to remember Lehigh University alumni, faculty or staff.

Your gift of $75 or more purchases one or more new books for the Lehigh University Libraries in celebration or memory of the named individual. A special bookplate is inserted in the book or books with the honoree's name. In addition, the honored individual, or his or her family, will be notified by letter of your generous gift. At the same time that your gift honors a relative, friend, mentor or associate, you become a partner in enriching the educational experience of students at Lehigh University for years to come. Print the bookmark form and return it with your check to make your donation.

A keyword search in ASA, the Lehigh University online catalog, using the phrase "given in honor of [name]" or "given in memory of [name]" will allow donors and others to identify the specific book(s) purchased. Search ASA without a specific name to see some of the books donated to date. Look at the detailed record to see the actual honorees.

Other Opportunities
Gifts such as endowed book funds and bequests are welcomed by the Lehigh Libraries and by the university. Giving to LTS provides more information about many opportunities and how to give online. Gifts given through the Lehigh Fund may be designated for the Libraries
