About the Friends
Since 1980, The Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries have been dedicated to enhancing and extending high-quality library services through unique campus programming and the support of innovative projects.
The Friends have a broad impact on the campus and the Lehigh Valley community through funding and sponsorship of:
- Campus visits and exhibits by major authors, artists, and scholars
- The Libraries Student Research Prize
- The Faculty Authors reception, recognizing new books by the Lehigh faculty
- Student readings, featuring original work
- Rare book conservation
- Outstanding speakers on libraries, publishing, and rare materials
- Presentations by Lehigh faculty on their scholarly work on various topics

Your membership is needed to help ensure that the Friends can continue supporting libraries at Lehigh. As a Friend, you will enjoy book borrowing privileges at the University Libraries and receive invitations to events and receptions.
