Intro to Overleaf (LaTeX) Part 1: Equations, Figures, and Bibliographies: Tuesday, Sept. 8, 12-1PM. Register
New to Overleaf? Need to use it for an assignment, a research article, or just want to learn more? Overleaf is an online LaTeX editor, a typesetting tool, that allows you to more easily format long, complex documents or detailed elements like a bibliography or mathematical formulas.
Intro to Overleaf (LaTeX) Part 2: Tables, Lists, and Footnotes: Wednesday, Sept. 9, 12-1PM. Register
In this second code-along workshop in the Introduction to Overleaf series, you will learn about altering page numbering, creating lists, tables, footnotes, and adding document elements like a table of contents, list of tables, and list of figures. Overleaf is an online LaTeX editor, a typesetting tool, that allows you to more easily format tedious or complex document elements. No prior attendance at Part 1 is required.
Introduction to Special Collections Discovery Resources: Friday, Oct. 9, 12-1PM. Register
Explore the wealth of primary source materials held by Special Collections and learn how to discover them using a range of digital tools. The session will introduce The Preserve, ArchivesSpace, the digitized Brown & White archive, the Special Collections exhibition website, and more.

OpenAlex is the world's largest open database of scholarly research. Come find out what it is, why it matters, and how to start using it. Dr. Hsuan-Wei "Wayne" Lee of Lehigh’s College of Health will also share why and how he used OpenAlex for a recent research project.
We Make Office Calls: Preparing Your Files for Transfer to the Archives: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 12-1PM. Register
Learn how Special Collections preserves institutional records and historic documents, and how to identify which office files are worth keeping and when to get in touch before transferring materials to the University Archives. Participants will receive a brief guide for transferring office files and see how their contributions are used to tell Lehigh’s story.
Submitting Your Electronic Thesis or Dissertation (ETD): A Guide for Graduates and Coordinators: Monday, Nov. 2, 12-1PM. Register
Learn how to use the Lehigh ETD, including creating an account, setting up your profile with ProQuest, converting your manuscript to PDF, determining your author rights, embargo & delay options, ordering extra copies, Lehigh Preserve, and more. It is intended primarily for graduate students and department graduate coordinators.
Submitting Your Capstone Project and Honors Thesis: A Guide for Lehigh Undergraduates and Coordinators: Friday, Nov. 6, 12-1PM. Register
This seminar will cover using the Honors Thesis & Capstone Projects LibGude to upload undergraduate thesis to Lehigh Preserve as Open Access. It is intended primarily for undergraduate students and department coordinators.
Reference Management with Zotero: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 12-1PM. Register
Learn how to use Zotero, a tool to help you organize, track, manage, share, and cite references, including creating an account, importing references, structuring your reference libraries, creating a bibliography, and exploring some advanced features.
Ancestry: US Federal Census Records Tips: Wednesday, Nov. 18, 12-1PM. Register
Looking for your ancestors in the US Federal Census records can be fun, but also frustrating. Learn tips and tricks for locating your relatives in the census records and what those records can tell you about them!
