Dear faculty and staff:

I am excited to share that Dr. Yvonne Lee has joined Library and Technology Services as the new Director of Writing Across the Curriculum in the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, with oversight of the TRAC Writing Fellows Program. Lee, who started on July 10, succeeds Greg Skutches, who will retire in August.

Yvonne joined Lehigh's Graduate Life Office (GLO) in July of 2020 and is currently the Program Director of Graduate Writing Support within GLO. During her time at Lehigh she has been responsible for the creation and operational oversight of the Graduate Writers' Studio (GWS), a resource for graduate students that promotes writing as a learning tool, a communications tool, and a means to encourage critical thinking.

“We’re so pleased to have Yvonne join CITL as Director of Writing Across the Curriculum. The energy and care for students and their learning that was so evident in her work in the Grad Life Office will now benefit even more faculty and students in her new role,” said Peggy Kane, Director of the LTS Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning.

Lee has contributed to numerous collaborative efforts across campus in support of writing including a study with Instruction & Outreach librarians Jasmine Woodson and Brian Simboli to identify library resources and writing support to contribute to the success of College of Education students. Yvonne earned her doctorate in Literacy, Rhetoric, and Social Practice from Kent State University. She earned a master's degree in Composition from the University of Akron and a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Kent State.

“It is a great honor to have been chosen to take the reins of such a successful and impactful program,” said Yvonne. “As the new Director of Writing Across the Curriculum, I am excited to have the opportunity to work, learn, and grow with the TRAC Fellows, the CITL team, and the entire LTS organization.”

Yvonne will begin her Directorship full-time in August. Her office will be located in the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (Fairchild-Martindale Library, 3rd fl.), in close proximity to the TRAC Fellows.

Please join me in welcoming Yvonne to Library and Technology Services!

Sincerely,

Greg Reihman, Ph.D.
Vice Provost for Library and Technology Services
