Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries

The Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries are dedicated to the provision of high quality library services for the Lehigh community. Lehigh Friends appreciate the cultural enrichment uniquely embodied in a comprehensive research library.

What are the benefits? Friends receive invitations to events. They get to know new people in the university and the community with an interest in libraries and learning. Through publications such as the LTS News, they stay abreast of new developments at the libraries.

The Friends sponsor lectures, receptions and have generated support for special acquisitions, digital scholarship, technology, and collaborative space. The current Friends’ organization began in the 1970s, described in the History of the Friends. Today, it is led by a Board that includes community leaders, alumni, faculty and staff listed below. Become a Friends member by giving today!
