  • Many of us feel we know Charles Dickens well – an old friend, author of many classics remembered from childhood – including Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, and David Copperfield.  We now celebrate Dickens’s 200th birthday – testimony to his now centuries old popularity is the frequency with which new editions are printed, works staged, and stories filmed.

  • An exhibition celebrating many of the donors who have made gifts to Special Collections since Linderman reopened in March 2007.

  • What informs our understanding of the middle ages? Why are certain stories told again and again- why do they continue to resonate with us? Special Collections will present an exhibit of selected Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts from Lehigh’s collections this November. Previously exhibited in 1970, texts will be introduced to a new generation of the Lehigh family so that they might become better acquainted with these treasures. Also on display will be facsimiles, supporting research materials, and examples of popular culture highlighting aspects of the medieval period.

  • "The American Environment through Travelers' Eyes" The new Linderman Library exhibit, opened on February 9, 2011. The exhibit, which follows on the heels of "Environmental STEPS: Environmental Education and Action at Lehigh", is part of a celebration of library resources in environmental history planned to commemorate the opening of the new STEPS building. The exhibit was on display until July 1, 2011.
